Even though Summer Starling works in public health, she knows that prescriptions are hard to come by. They require a doctor’s appointment, a co-payment, and a pharmacy visit. She remembers the times in her life when going to a primary care provider was difficult because she wasn’t gainfully employed. During times like that, her use of the pill was sporadic.
